Kalaki Collective worked on AR-enabled packaging for Pets Of Paradise, built around illustrations by Bhavya Desai, co-founder of the brand and illustrator based in Chennai

Each pack features a hand-drawn South Indian street vendor character rendered in Bhavya's signature loose, expressive linework surrounded by cats and the ingredients inside the pack, from fish to mutton. Scanning the QR code on the packaging brings the illustration to life: the characters animate, and a pun-style speech bubble pops up in rhyme, tying the flavour directly to the artwork - "Tuna, mackerel, chicken dance, kitty's fishy trance!"

The result turns a functional pack into a moment of delight at the point of purchase - rooted in local, everyday imagery, but activated through a playful layer of tech.
