The Silk Calendar 2026 - Commissioned by Davrah, the calendar drew on 1960s pin-up aesthetics and the screen presence of Silk Smitha, the late South Indian actress, reframing vintage coffee-tin calendar art around her image. The piece generated significant public conversation after release - with critics raising questions about posthumous image use and consent and others engaging with it as a tribute to a specific era of visual design and a complicated cultural icon. Kalaki's founder addressed the discussion directly and publicly, situating it within the broader, global practice of using deceased public figures' likenesses commercially (citing examples like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Bruce Lee), while acknowledging the questions raised as fair ones without a clean answer.

Beyond the calendar, Kalaki produced ongoing social content for Davrah: short-form video built around the brand's café-adjacent food and drink pairings (grilled cheese sandwiches, fermented specials like kimchcheese) shot in a casual, appetite-forward style suited to Instagram Reels, alongside lifestyle content shot in-studio with the calendar and product.
